My Revising writing.

Today I have been learning about the word DRAFT. DRAFT is like an acrostic poem. Each letter of this word means something in writing. Today we have been focusing on the D. D stands for Delete. In class Miss Paton shared with us a piece of writing in winch we had to delete, take out words and change sentences. Here is my piece of writing .

Miss Paton has a cat called Oscar. He is a tabby cat,Oscar can be a pain.He likes to sniff my rubbish bin. He always comes to my house hungry. Oscar likes to sleep on my couch.Oscar hates laptop computer’s. He would rather sit on my lap. Oscar would like to sit on my lap to get the attention.

What’s in my lunch box?

Is your lunch a healthy lunch? Why / Why Not? I don't have a healthy lunch because I have a finger bun and a custard pie. What was the healthiest? The orange and apple were the healthiest.

What was the least healthy and why? The apple and orange was healthy because  it gives me energy.

What is missing from your lunch box? Sandwiches

I had a custard pie and a finger bun that wasn't healthy. The finger bun has sugar in it. The custard is creamy and  sugary. The orange and apple is healthy too.

My time at the auckland zoo

                            Panmure Bridge School Trip

On Thursday May 4th Rooms 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 and the teachers went to the Auckland Zoo. We went on the bus to go to the Auckland Zoo. When we got to the zoo we had to wait for a man to come. The man said wait on the bus because they had to set everything up. When we went into the the zoo there was a lady called Laura. She was a teacher. We first saw the giraffe and the Zebra. On the other side of the giraffe and zebra was a big rhino. We all saw the big rhino’s bones. There was an ostrich with the rhino. When we saw the flamingoes, they were standing on one foot. They left their foot up and their head went down into the water and caught the fish. We had morning tea. Next us there was an elephant called Burma. The elephant was smelling a branch on the ground. Then we saw a tiger playing with a ball, it had loads of fun with it. We tried to be quiet so the tiger could come to us by the glass. There were two or three tigers in the inhabitat. Next we saw the baboons. They were having a conversation on the rope. After that we saw the spider monkeys. They were swinging and fighting with each other. One of the spider monkeys fell on the ground twice, it was so funny. Next after that we saw the birds. They were flying around. They were so beautiful and free. After visiting the birds we saw an alligator which was bathing in the sun and keeping itself warm. Then we had lunch on the grass and we went back to the bus. Some people slept on the bus some didn't.When we got back to school some people went home.
